Lake Mburo National Park Safari & Mabamba Swamp - 3 Days
Day 0ne: Kampala-Lake Mburo National Park
You will depart Kampala at 0730hrs by road and head to Lake Mburo National Park with a quick stop at the famed Uganda equator for refreshments, souvenirs and pictures then proceed through the magnificent banana plantations, amazing panoramic view and the traditional Ankole cattle. Arrive in time for Lunch after which you will go for a boat ride that may be rewarded with a glance of the crocodiles and hippos plus a variety of water birds for bird lovers like pelicans, herons, fish eagles, the rare shoe bill stork and many more. Dine and sleep at your lodge
Day Two: Game drive and nature walk
Go for an early morning drive where you may see Leopards, the Jackals, Hyenas, Impala, Elands, Zebras, Buffaloes, Topis, Bush backs, Water backs, and more. You will go for a nature walk before you embark on the journey to Kampala in the afternoon.
Day Three: Mabamba Birding Expedition
After breakfast, we shall drive to Mabamba swamp where you will go for a canoe ride through the Swamp in search for the rare Shoe bill. We shall look out for the shoebill and other birds, which include long-toed plover, blue-headed coucal, and white winged, papyrus gonolek. Drive back to Kampala where the safari ends.
