Customer satisfaction leads to loyalty

July 11th, 2010

All customers in the business world safari uganda look for finest places in which they can get the best services to quench there thirsty. Besides, customer satisfaction, measures how products and services supplied by a company meet or surpass customer expectation and also seen as the key performance indicator within business and is part of the four of a Balanced Score for the business success. Customer perceptions are what indicate whether you have achieved satisfaction or not. In other words, they represent stepping stones along a continuum. Perceptions accumulate over time and gradually equate to either satisfaction or dissatisfaction. houses for sale in kampala uganda , In Tourism industry, the job of tour operators, travel agencies is to understand and act on the customer perceptions so that the final result is customer satisfaction.

However, satisfaction may lead to loyalty. But loyalty is an option among many choices. gorilla safari rwanda Being using a royal tour company and using a satisfied tour company are clearly two different things. Researchers say customers love in compartments while services providers love customers as a whole. This means that customers love there service providers because of there expertise and organizing ability which is unique. gorilla tours in uganda Thus, at the same time he/she can decide to get another service provider while still showing trust in the first service provider for her good customer handling services.

The scenario painted makes me wonder if it is true to say that the customer is satisfied whereas the service provider is loyal. Cut back to events around us. kenya safari The recent Mangalore Air India crash and the Kenya Airways one a while back would have any nerve-wrecked flier put their hands to their hearts and vow never to fly either airline again. But does that happen? Other forces come in play like price, time, service, crash records, probability factors and before we know it, Masai mara safari packages off we go with the same airline. What is the driver? Is it loyalty or is it satisfaction?

When the same people have to travel between kenya hotels , Mangalore to Dubai they have no option as only one flight is on that route. For marketers, this is a point to note as it spells out that because consumers use your service daily, that does not mean they are loyal to it neither does it mean they are satisfied with it. All it spells is opportunity for someone else to come in and take your market while you are busy measuring loyalty. kenya camping safari
Closer to home, road accidents are heard of every day. Yet a man wakes up in the morning going to look for his daily bread and will use the same route and the same means of transport. Is that loyalty towards earning or satisfaction that he is doing something with his kenya lodge safari life.

The same scenario to when you are shopping in your area and want to buy water among other things. This time round you will pick your brand of choice which is driven by your loyalty to it. kenya tours There fore, Satisfaction is one of the needs that every living thing lives by. Be it satisfaction of a meal, satisfaction of having slept well or satisfaction of buying a brand that gives you value for money. Yet on the other hand you have loyalty or devotion that is linked to faith. Faith comes from the promise made by the brand, emotion or relationship. Satisfaction is brought about by a feeling of contentment whilst loyalty is tied with dependability construction companies uganda.

Meanwhile in the Tourism industry, we measure our on time delivery, kenya family safari customer complaints, customer rejects as well as the touchy feely customer perception from the daily contact we have with our customers. It does not always pile up that good delivery and good quality makes a good customer perception and vice versa. For example, the customer may perceive us as unhelpful if they do not reschedule orders quickly enough for them (even if unreasonable) or give enough support to their design team even though they deliver what they order on time with no faults.gorilla tours rwanda

Alternatively, customer’s perception of the service provider can be good even though they are late on delivery or have quality problems. Thus, they react to those problems and are seen to be doing everything which put them right. At the end of the day perception is the overriding ‘measure’ because new orders are more often placed based on the perception of the customer rather than on the actual delivery and quality statistics. bwindi gorilla tour While each approach has its application, customer perception is king and the customer’s evaluation is what matters most.

June 19th, 2010

With funding from the McArthur Foundation, UWA in November 2009 sent a team of six staff on a 6-day study tour to Canada to learn about the country’s oil sector and pick lessons on how to ensure the co-existence of wildlife conservation and oil exploration within Uganda’s protected areas.  gorilla safari rwanda

UWA has a big stake in the ongoing oil exploration activities in the country given that most of them are taking place within the protected areas. UWA has the responsibility of ensuring that the oil activities have minimal or no impacts on wildlife conservation and that tourism activity in the parks continue to take place with no interference. uganda safari

Promise in the effort to restore Rhinos n Uganda’ parks

June 16th, 2010

Before the civil war around 1970s, Uganda had 400 Eastern Black Rhinos (Diceros biconis michaeli) in Murchison Falls National Park and 300 Northern White Rhinos ((Cerathotherium simum cottoni) in Kidepo Valley National Park.  kenya safari
.Efforts to re-introduce rhinos in Uganda began in 2001 when two Southern White Rhinos were imported from Kenya and taken to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre where they are still residents. Uganda Wildlife Authority later came together with a local NGO, Rhino Fund Uganda, and imported six more rhinos from Kenya and the United States of America as part of the breeding program, and these are residents at the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. All the three female rhinos got pregnant and two have already had babies, while the third is expected to deliver its baby at the end of December 2009. uganda safari
A team belonging to the African Rhino Specialist Group (AfRSG) that visited Uganda recently has certified the country’s suitability to host the Eastern Black Rhinos and the Northern White Rhinos which once occurred in large populations in the northern part of the country.

The team was in Uganda to evaluate the former rhino ranges and rate them for importance, management capacity, habitat suitability, ecological carrying capacity, veterinary risk and the general security situation.  gorilla trekking
After the 7-day visit which included visits to Murchison Falls National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park and the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary in the company of the UWA Veterinary Co-ordinator,  gorilla safari , Dr. Patrick Atimnedi, the team said they were convinced that Uganda still had the capacity to host the rhinos, which were poached to extinction during the1970s and 1980s
During a follow-up meeting the team had with the UWA Management team, they advised that all aspects relating to the management of the rhinos must be assessed and decided upon in the run-up to kenya safari packages ,  their re-introduction in the Ugandan wild. Such aspects include ecological management, community support, security, monitoring, capacity building, co-ordination with the different stakeholders, political support and tourism activities.
The team recommended that a Uganda Rhino Policy should be developed as this will demonstrate government commitment to the re-introduction of the rhinos. They also recommended the formulation of a National Rhino Conservation Plan as well as specific re-introduction plans for each site for the different rhino species.

Fire Guts Down Kasubi Tombs in Kampala

March 17th, 2010

Kasubi tombs burnt to ashes in kampala last night

The burial ground for the preceding four Buganda kings (Kasubi Tombs), is one of the World heritage sites of Uganda and its being a pictogram for the Ganda history and culture and Uganda all a whole has attracted many people to come and see exactly how Uganda cultures are sealed. For any culture tour in Uganda , Kasubi is a key attraction that if its not part of the places to be visited, then one would have missed the true cultural experience of Uganda cultures. Besides, a visit at the Kasubi tombs will involve a walk around the palace, view the architecture of the long ago Africans made of reeds and souvenir given to Kabaka’s by foreigners like the gun, then several types of spears and Kabaka’s pet animal which are found in the Buganda house called Muzibu Azaala Mpamga.kampala travel guide

Additionally, one can experience the true culture of Buganda , Educational activity of the Buganda Kingdom which involves the practice of the Buganda norms and beliefs like women dress code, story telling of the Buganda Kingdom and many others. Apart from the Royal burial ceremonies, other traditional rituals are carried out throughout the year. They include; the new moon ceremony and the consultation of the mediums. But the main spiritual life is not visible to the ordinary visitor as many ceremonies are performed secretly inside the buildings.

However, the site of great cultural value (Kasubi Tombs) was last night burnt by fire, whose origin was not immediately established. The Police Fire Brigade rushed to the scene but its efforts to put out the raging fire at the traditional burial grounds of Buganda kings were disrupted by a crowd. Eyewitnesses said the fire started from behind the huts. The main hut was completely destroyed as the surging crowd wailed in disbelief, hampering further the Police efforts to stop the inferno from spreading. The Police said they could not tell the extent of the damage to the world famous heritage site since they were unable to access it, but it was clear that the huts were reduced to ash. kenya safari guide

Before the site was declared as a World Heritage Site in 2001, there have been several transformations from the first king Kintu to the present Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi. The Buganda political civilisation dates from back in the 13th Century AD. Their first Kabaka was Kintu and he is said to have come with his wife Nambi, whose hand he won by performing heroic deeds at the command of her father Gulu.
The first Kabaka to be buried at Kasubi tombs was Muteesa I, the 35th king of Buganda and all the Buganda’s kings built their palaces on strategic hills to control the major roads to the palace and find easy ways to escape in case of an invasion or rebellion. Each Kabaka was buried at a separate site in a royal shrine to house his jaw bone, which was believed to contain his spirit.

Muteesa 1 was born around 1835 and was crowned in 1856. He established his palace at Kasubi in 1882, as did his father, Kabaka Suuna 11.
His son Daudi Chwa succeeded him in 1897, he died in 1939 and he was also buried at Kasubi Tombs with his two predecessors. The process continued that Kabaka Chwa was also succeeded by his son Edward Muteesa 11 who made Uganda attain it’s independence from the British on October 9, 1962 and in that year Kabaka Muteesa II became the constitutional president of Uganda.

However, Apollo Milton Obote stormed his palaces in May 1966 and forced him into exile in England . Later, he died in 1969 in London and his remains were brought back and buried at Kasubi in 1971. Hundreds of kingdoms subjects have thronged the site, crying and screaming while others were seen prostrating in front of the embers because of the strong love for culture preservation. rwanda travel guide

Though, the World heritage site was but last night, tt is not known how the tombs will be rebuilt following the fire last incidence BUT plans and strategies are being put in place to ensure the reconstruction of the site. Therefore, note all hope is lost for the site and for Uganda ’s culture Tourism.
